Gik, finally a Moleskine alternative.

I recently got a Gik notebook as a gift. In my mind Moleskin pretty much had a monopoly in the notebook department. Gik look promising, it describes it’s self as Books for writing, making notes, crossing out, scribbling, underling, scratching, coloring, cutting, drawing, pasting, confessing, inventing and thinking. So with the excepting of my frequent burning it seems to cover the requirements I’m looking for in a notebook.
Gik Notebooks come in a very tight box with nicely kerned text and a mat stock that stops you from just tearing the box in to pieces. The books have a linen cover, well it says hard cloth-bound cover but feels like linen and linen feels good. Inside delivers with a mix of page styles, plain, ruled, plain microperforated, ruled microperforated, vertically ruled, stickers sheets, all your favorites are here. Gik’s out of Buenos Aires, you can buy it there and not sure where you can buy it elsewhere but check out the website: gikbook.com
