This one lives up to the hype, the book and DVD could sell separately and I’d buy them both. Nice binding and tons of great shots makes for a great book. Also I’m a sucka for flat mat covers with varnish highlights. The hub button that holds the DVD on the back inside cover doesn’t do a great job but that’s not a big issue cause the DVD will spend most of it’s time in your player. For anyone who lives in a generally flat city all the hill footage is jaw-dropping and the rest asks to be studied in slow motion. And a sticker pack is the icing.

It’s nice to see Sigur Ros aren’t the big pricks they seemed to be after seeing their NPR interview. Soon after their recent tour they filmed a series of free unannounced concerts in Iceland. I’m convinced if you shot with a PixelVision anywhere in Iceland, it would come out looking like Baraka.Sigor Ros’s DVD packaging looks nice is but starts to fall apart as soon as it’s opened. They must have used some paranoid Icelandic encoding for the dvd. I had to switch halfway through from my xbox to my laptop just to finish the film, which is killjoy given it’s such a beautiful film.
